The Blue Valley VirtualED Program provides students with opportunities to design their own personalized learning experience. Students who participate in our web-based instruction are participating in courses with students from their home school and others across the district. No matter a student's choice--full- or part-time--they will receive high-quality instruction grounded in a strong curriculum.

The VirtualED Program lets students stay connected to their home school, even while learning from home. Students are able to continue to participate in activities, sports and clubs at their home school. Additionally, students continue to receive information from their principal and stay connected to their home counseling department. Effort is made to pair students and teachers from a common school, whenever possible.

Our online courses are Blue Valley through and through. VirtualED courses offer students learning experiences on par with courses delivered in the in-person setting. While strategies, activities and assessment may vary, goals and objectives are constant between the two settings. Courses in the Blue Valley VirtualED program are:

based on Kansas State standards and Blue Valley curriculum.
designed by Blue Valley teachers trained in virtual course development.
taught by Blue Valley teachers.
